I Love Having No TV

Its funny what we get used to. I have been without a Tv for nearly a year in our home! I absolutely love it. The children adjusted incredibly fast which goes to prove the children dont need it at all. If we travel somewhere where there is a Tv it is a treat and they thoroughly enjoy it for that time.

We havent suffered without it we have not lost a thing in fact we have gained .. there is a peace in the house and a quietness and there is conversation!!!

HOME SCHOOLING! GOT ANY THOUGHTS?

I am seriously thinking of homeschooling … teachers are great but resources are stretched to the limit and children are unique and different and will not always fit curriculum categories … so what happens to the child that is different and does not fit the square? What happens to the child who does not like squares and refuses to get into one! What happens to the child who refuses to conform? Do we dumb them down and drive them into categorical boxes?

What if he was born to be different? What if he was never meant to be just like everyone else and was born to stand out ..

What if he was born to live out side the Government Educational Curriculum Square … what happens if he cant fit what happens if he cant learn within the confines what happens if he cant learn within the square?

He falls … he falls!

Will home schooling catch him? …….. No i will catch him!!!

Not a lot to say really title says it all … sometimes life can really throw a curve ball at ya well shit … you just got to throw it back. No point in laying down and doing nothing is there? I mean no point in wallowing? In being down and defeated? You got to stand up dust off and go again! Never give up! Not saying go be mean and nasty i mean .. you stand!!! You take a FRIGGEN STAND!!!

Well it has definitely been a lovely quiet week with chill out time in abundance. I think i have earned this time to chill.

Ive been thinking about the events of the last couple of months and without a doubt upon reflection we are wiser.

You know you cant always see what is coming you cant always know what is around the corner. The real lesson is not what life dishes out but how we respond. That has been my biggest life lesson. How I respond because you just cant stop all the bad things from happening. You cant control how people behave. But you can control how you respond … which can be the hardest thing in the world. But it is all you ever control in this life … the only thing you ever truly have control over “Your choices”!!! Nothing else just your choices!!!!

Choose Wisely!!

Dont waste your time being afraid of what life holds for you chances are you will really enjoy what life has if you gave your self a chance! Dont waste time fretting about things you cannot change! Dont waste time worrying about tomorrow we cant make clams on what hasnt arrived!! Dont waste time trying to control what you think you have when it could all be gone in an instant!! Dont waste time striving to prove who you are chances are not many will care! Dont waste time ….. LIFE IS NOT A DRESS REHEARSAL!!!! You have what you have make the most of it!! Dream so big that it looks absolutely impossible unless God steps in … NOW THOSE ARE DREAMS WORTH HAVING!!!

Went to watch the movie tonight with my boys .. Lord we had the best time! … so reliving my love for the toys and the show and the myth of the Transformers from my forgotten youth!!!

Optumus Prime!!!! geez who does that voice … wow he had me at “AUTOBOTS”!!!!

Best thing we have done in a FEW WEEKS just the whole getting away form it all and taking some time out. Wish you could blast your shit away just like that!!! Wooo hoo!! freaking rocked!!!

Anyway 2 1/2 hours was not enough and could of done more but its time for bed and shut eye!!!!
